One of the UK's most prominent and long-standing saxophonists, Andy Sheppard brings his trio to the Budapest Jazz Club on Saturday, October 17. Paying his dues in the bars of Paris in the 1970s, Sheppard returned to Britain to carve out an impressive career, kick-started by a Best Newcomer award at the British Jazz Awards, then Best Instrumentalist. Playing with some of the best in the business, Sheppard gigs regularly and releases new material on the ECM label. Here he plays with acclaimed pianist Rita Marcotulli and bass player Anders Jormin.
