An evening commemorating Nakba Day at Free Bird Cafe

The activist vegan cafe folks at Free Bird are also hosting a community evening centred on remembrance, reflection and solidarity, marking Nakba Day and the displacement of Palestinians. The evening begins with creative workshops, music, exhibitions, and a small market selling Palestinian products. Later, guests can watch a documentary by Palestinian filmmaker Mohammad Bakri before joining an open discussion on the film. Entry is pay-what-you-can, with funds raised going to support two families in Gaza. May 16. Free entry, donations welcome. Free Bird Cafe. From 5pm-9pm
