Eat your way across the cosmos at the Food Universe fair
Chiang Mai foodies, prepare for lift-off. Food Universe: Aroy Rub Mong lands at Central Chiang Mai Airport with a week-long food festival packed with more than 70 popular vendors from across Thailand. Snack on your old favourites or try new vendors like a brave cosmonaut as you meander your way through the ‘universe’ of food, with everything from faux sharkfin and crispy pork specialties to seafood snacks and nostalgic Thai desserts. Looking at the posters, you’d be forgiven for thinking this was more’beauty pageant’ than ‘food fest’, with rows of famous faces – celebrities and beauty queens alike – adding extra sparkle to the proceedings with performances, talks and food demonstrations. The programme also features the Food Universe Chiang Mai Awards and the Miss Food Universe Chiang Mai 2026 competition, though from what we hear, only Earth is being represented this year.Mar 11-17.
