Get playful at Retro Recess’s third birthday bash

Who says growing up means growing bored? Retro Recess is celebrating three years of bringing out Chiang Mai’s inner child with a birthday bash at Freebird Cafe, and everyone’s invited to join the fun. Expect an afternoon of dressing up with thrift-shop finds, getting crafty over popcorn and a movie and browsing a community market packed with local makers and creatives. There’s also a show and tell session where anyone can take five minutes to share their latest passion, peculiar hobby or unfinished masterpiece. The party doubles as a fundraiser to help keep Retro Recess running, so donations of cash, art supplies, games and other useful goodies are welcome. Come as you are, bring your curiosity and remember that adulthood is better with a little recess.
