ARTOON NETWORK – America’s self-proclaimed original cartoon-themed travelling art show brings its colourful chaos back to Chiang Mai as part of its international tour, with past stops including NYC, London, Berlin and Bangkok. If you missed it last year, let us fill you in. More than 25 artists from across the globe come together to reimagine your favourite animated universes – from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network classics to cult staples – in a non-serious, community space that is as fun as the cartoons themselves. It’s definitely a vibe, blending art with vendors, live music, free games and plenty of opportunities to actually meet the creators behind the work. Time to plug into Chiang Mai’s art scene without all the pretence.
