Chiang Mai Pride 2026 officially kicks off this Sunday with the GEN ACT RUN: Run for Recognition – a 5km run or walk around Chiang Mai PAO Public Park with a costume contest thrown in for good measure. The event is raising public awareness and support for the proposed gender recognition bill and everyone is welcome regardless of who they are. Dress up, show up and move at whatever pace works for you. The costume contest is optional but there is a B3,000 prize for the best dressed, so why not? Registration closes May 15 so sign up before it's too late.
