Words, memories and missing sentences take centre stage in ‘Just Those Mentioned: An Epistolary of the Other’ – an experimental interactive performance by artists Krai Sridi and Puangsroi Aksornsawang. Presented as a series of exchanged ‘letters’, the work explores the uneasy space between a writer’s private inner world and the shared memories of others.
Taking place at the Northern People’s History Museum, the setting is quintessentially Chiang Mai – rugged gardens, ageing wooden structures and a whiff of community throughout. During the show, expect to be invited up to engage directly with the performers, rearrange words and help the characters piece together new meanings. It’s giving Alan Wake.
