Unleash your inner flower-power at Thantawan Festival’s Groovy Bloom weekend

Chiang Mai’s sunflower fest is back – and it’s not quite the same beast. After carving out a name as the city’s most ambitious DJ-forward lifestyle festival, Thantawan is switching towards a lineup that’s all about live Thai bands. Headliners including 1MILL, Da Endorphine, Burin and Kong Huayrai are big ones to watch out for, while local bands and DJs fill the space with their own growing talents. Under this year’s ‘Groovy Bloom’ theme, Thantawan leans hard into ‘60s and ‘70s flower-power nostalgia – which means costumes are very much encouraged. Add in art installations, wellness sessions, a dedicated high-zone for green smokers, glamping options, a proper kids’ area and a late-night afterparty stage for the energy owls, and you’ve got a festival weekender that’s ticking all the right boxes.
