This 6 Wk curriculum (12 sessions) is designed for men and women who would like to dive deeper into the inquiry
of yoga philosophy and practice. Through yoga, we will explore the art of letting go. Join us as we release limiting
beliefs and identifications as well as tensions and blockages on the physical, energetic, emotional and mental levels.
Curriculum content includes:
*BASIC YOGA PHILOSOPHY
Patanjali’s 8 limbs of yoga
5 koshas
Overview of different kinds of yoga derived from classical texts of the yogic tradition - Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita.
*PYSCHOLOGY OF THE CHAKRAS - Improve quality of thoughts, energy and emotions through yogic techniques.
*TANTRIC & VEDIC PERSPECTIVES on Yoga and Self-realization.
*SACRED SEXUALITY - Use hatha and tantra yoga as tools to realize consciousness {shiva} by means of energy {shakti}. Improve intimacy with self and others, explore softening and relaxing into your divine masculine and feminine sexual essence, and transform your love-making into a spiritual practice.
*CONSCIOUS COMMUNICATION SKILLS - Co-listening and Reflective Listening
*ONE-ON-ONE CHECK-IN’S with instructors.
This course is for men and women interested in exploring intimacy, the sacred polarity of Shiva and Shakti and communing in a deep and meaningful way. Come if you’re curious. All are welcome. Take the leap!
Enrollment in this course requires a commitment to transformation and a responsibility to the self and group. Therefore an expectation of 100% attendance is requested in order to maintain the integrity of the group trust. However, each student will be allowed a maximum of two absences. Due to the nature of this work ~ any student exceeding two absences ~ will be required to forgo both attending the remainder of the course, as well as the funds committed. We hope you will join us wholeheartedly in a full commitment to this process of transformation.
Susan Marrufo, M.A. left a job in advertising in 2008 to travel internationally and experience life beyond the
confines of her cultural conditioning. She received her 500 hr yoga certification in Thailand in 2009, where she
began her studies of the classical yogic scriptures and delved deeply into esoteric tantric philosophy. After 2 years
of teaching month-long tantric based courses on the banks of the Ganges in India and the Pacific coastal towns of Mexico, Susan returned to the US to begin a residential internship with the Kripalu School of Yoga, where she taught & managed Kripalu yoga teacher trainings, while gaining an additional 500 hours of study. She currently resides in the US where she practices joy through wild laughter and dances daily with the Divine…
David Sunshine began his journey into yoga in 1993. He has a degree in Eastern Studies, has taught yoga
extensively and as well as making numerous trips India to visit sacred sites, to study meditation under the Dalai
Lama, and to study yoga with many contemporary luminaries including B.K.S Iyengar and T.K.V. Desikachar. David blends the wisdom of yoga, Eastern Philosophy, meditation, somatic movement techniques and the principles of Ayurveda to assist students in their physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. As owner of the Dallas Yoga Center since 1998, David has helped to establish DYC as a strong institution infused with an open-hearted vitality which plays a leading role in the Dallas yoga community. His focus is in creating a safe space where people can come to enjoy the depth of the ancient teachings.
