Time Out says

Everyone in the South has their version of the best chili ever, but are you brave enough to have your chili judged by some of the best local celebrity chefs? This chili cook-off is free to enter! We'll open at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. All chili must be cooked on site here, so you'll need to bring all of your supplies (including your heat source) to safely cook it here. You'll have 5 hours to work your magic; judging will be at 4 p.m. sharp. Please prepare 2 to 3 pounds of chili, which will ensure there will be enough for judging and spectator tastings. This is for "Texas Style Chili" which means NO BEANS! Our judges will rate your chili on a 5 point system, with 5 being the best. The chili will be judged on Flavor, Heat, Texture, and Creativity. Lee Harvey's will supply all of the sample containers (to ensure anonymity) and plastic utensils for tasting. Our celebrity chef judges will be Katherine Clapner of Dude, Sweet Chocolate, Jeana Johnson of Mot Hai Ba and Good 2 Go Taco, Victor Valdez of Becerra's Tex-Mex Tamales & Salsas, Chef DC of DC's catering, Steven Doyle of Crave DFW, John Cuellar of El Corazon de Tejas, and, of course our co-host Patrick Stark of 940's Restaurant and the founder of The Mohawk Militia-Against GMOS/Monsanto. To reserve your spot, please email leeharveys@yahoo.com
