Experimental music collective Alt Baithak’s marking its first anniversary in Delhi by hosting a five-hour-long rave that’s designed to reclaim the meaning of the word ‘rave’. For the gig on September 12, 7pm onwards, passes are for just under a hundred rupees each.
True to the principles of their programming over the last year, the rave’s described as based on principles of peace, mutual respect and curiosity. It features a lineup of swymkndr, RAIN, merohi, LOVE, and anam.
With gates opening at 6:30pm and a BYOB policy, there’s something about how Alt Baithak approaches music and dance that feels more accessible and playful than most club nights.

They’re a baithak that hosts art of all forms, known for a host of unreleased electronic music, intuitive dance, indie film screenings, production workshops, art and piercing markets, and the occasional specialty coffee and craft cocktail when they collaborate with other collectives. Formed in 2025 explicitly against the idea of being funded, Alt Baithak gigs are experimental and move with the crowd, above all. You’re encouraged to dress however you want, dance however you want, react in whichever way you feel like. Set designs at these gigs, whether at Mool or elsewhere, are some of the coolest you’ll find in the city.

How to reach: Take an auto from the South Extension metro station on the pink line. Parking at Mool can be headache-inducing.
