The singer's show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium faces uncertainty after authorities cited threat-related inputs amid festive-season security commitments

If your October plans included singing along to Punjabi hits by Diljit Dosanjh, here’s a plot twist nobody had on their bingo card. The Delhi Police has denied permission for the singer’s upcoming concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, which was scheduled for October 30, 2026, due to 'threat-related inputs' and security commitments during the festive season.
The decision was communicated in a letter from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District, addressed to the ticketing platform associated with the event, BookMyShow, as reported by the Hindustan Times. The organisers' application was for the Delhi leg of Diljit Dosanjh Aura India Tour, which is also set to take place in multiple cities across India in November 2026.
However, the denial of security permission doesn’t confirm whether the concert has been officially cancelled. Nor has a new date has been announced.
Fans who have booked tickets should check for an official update from the organisers and BookMyShow regarding the concert’s status, entry arrangements, or any refund process.
Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour was set to begin with the Delhi concert on October 30, which remains on hold as of now. His wider India tour schedule includes concerts at Indore (on November 15), Ahmedabad (on November 21), Mumbai (on November 27), Bengaluru (on November 29), Lucknow(on December 5), and Kolkata (on December 19).
Additionally, Chandigarh is also listed among the tour stops, but the date is yet to be announced. The Delhi development might raise questions about the opening concert, but there is no confirmation reported on whether the events on other dates and venues will remain affected by this news.
As of now, Diljit Dosanjh's fans will need to keep their playlists ready and keep an eye on official announcements for further updates. The bhangra can wait – the concert update needs to arrive first.
