The best gelato in Delhi NCR

And the crowd goes wild! Firenze’s recognisable by the long snaking queues outside at any given hour. The crowd isn’t wrong, though – this Florentine-inspired gelateria’s got authenticity down pat, what with the classic pozzetti wells in which they store their gelato to preserve texture and temperature. Made from scratch with premium ingredients, the small batch gelato comes in several delectable flavours: Baileyssimo, butter croissant, blueberry cheesecake, the works. 

Time Out tip: Ditch the affogato for their cioccogato – gelato served with hot chocolate.

This lilac and chrome cafè’s got a great selection of gelato and coffee-based drinks, plus matcha. The gelato’s slow churned and comes in flavours like Pistachio Ripple, Berry Cheesecake, Chocolate Hazelnut, Strawberry Milk and Frozen Yoghurt. The latter’s garnished with poached pear and granola.

Time Out tip: They keep experimenting with flavours, so you’ll find something new here depending on the season.

What’s (maybe) better than a glass of cold beer on a hot summer day? Maybe a beer gelato. At this Maju ka Tilla joint, owner Rinchen Wongdhen loves experimenting with different flavours: Masala Nimbu sorbet, even a Tsampa gelato – a nod to Rinchen’s Tibetan roots. They also do gelato cookie and croissant sandwiches, plus sugar-free and protein options.

Fitness enthusiasts, this one’s for you. One of the few places in Delhi doing a whey protein gelato (24-28 grams per scoop!), Delish Mama’s also got some surprisingly great sugar-free options too. Their regular customers swear by the texture of their airy gelatos, and their affogato has a loyal following. Don’t want to go for the usual chocolate and pistachio? How about a fig gelato, or a jamun? Or treat yourself to a stacked sundae.

This is probably the only place in Delhi where you can get your hands on soft gelato as opposed to the scoopable ones you find elsewhere. It’s also where you’ll find French butter-dipped Fior di latte gelato, which packs a pretty savoury punch. Their other bestsellers include the silky Ferrero Rocher and Gianduja, but their pistachio kunafa range and mango range deserve as much love, if not more.  

Time Out tip: They also do a fabulous dip trio that comes in mini waffle cones – perfect for sharing.

Seventeen (and more planned) outlets across Delhi and several other cities – Frozen Fun’s a giant in the gelato game, and for good reason. They were recognised as the Best Gelato Brand of the Year in both 2024 and 2025 by a couple publications. The proof’s in their Salted Butter Caramel, their newly-launched Vanilla Madagascar gelato served with a warm cookie, and loads more ‘fun’ flavours.

Sitting inside a huge bathtub-like ball pit and slurping on a gelato cone may not be everyone’s idea of fun, but if not, then it should be. Cheesecake & Co Creamery is serious about their gelatos, but they definitely want their guests to have fun, whether it’s by getting dunked inside the ball pit or by posing in front of their colourful silicone gelato wall. You can spot their bright pink façade from afar and once inside, choose from plenty of seasonal and classic flavours. Their signature skillet cookie, which comes with melted chocolate and a scoop of gelato, is pretty great.
