At Tuesday Blues, we bring in the best local and national instructors, DJ's and bands to give our dancers an unforgettable night EVERY WEEK! Come find out why people show up one Tuesday and then never miss another one. Brenda Russell is fulfilling her childhood dream as a professional dancer and instructor. Brenda’s early dance training included about 30 dance styles. She has also studied musical history and theory, dance history, dance instruction, several physical health methods, and other related subjects adding to her knowledge of the body, dance, music, and teaching. Brenda continues to study and train with coaches, historians, and practitioners, always striving to increase her understanding and ability.Brenda has put the majority of her focus over the past many years into the Lindy Hop, Balboa, Blues, West Coast Swing, and Salsa communities. She believes we are all born with dance in our bodies, and that each of us can use this activity as a means for personal expression, connecting with others, and exercise. Brenda loves the image of being able to dance anytime, anywhere, to any music, alone, or with anyone. She spends her time living this dream for herself while assisting her students in accomplishing their personal dance goals. Brenda will also be sharing her expansive blues musical library with us. Her rhythmic sense is unparalleled and the room doesn't stop swaying when she's "behind the board." DO NOT MISS THIS WEEK!!! You will be sad. The Mercury Cafe Denver is a colorful venue with a restaurant, full bar and spacious dance floor. For the eclectic and curious there are even tarot card readings. It's not your ordinary dance hall. All Levels Progressive Series Lesson 6:30 cost $5 Fundamental lesson at 7:30 cost $5 Dance at 8:30 PM: $8 People who pay to attend the progressive series classes can attend the fundamental class free. We run on "-ish" time round here, so take it easy.
