Whether you’re a surfer, skater, or just someone who loves the ocean, this is a launch you won’t want to miss.

If you needed a reason to check out Scottburgh’s coolest new surfer–skater hotspot, The Pipe, then we’ve got one for you! World-famous big-wave surfer, adventurer and author Chris Bertish is launching his latest book, Super Stoked! right here on Sunday, 14 December from 5pm.
Fresh off his national Super Stoked! Tour, Chris is rolling into Scottburgh to share his message of courage, kindness and ‘anything is possible’ energy. If you haven’t visited The Pipe in Scottburgh yet, this is the time. The newly opened surf-and-skate hub sits oceanside, blending endless views, chilled deck seating, an epic skate setup, and a menu packed with winning burgers, seafood and relaxed holiday eats. It’s run by local legends Catherine Le Pront – whose family is synonymous with surfing championships – and Rachelle Walker of Flava’s Bakery.
On launch night, The Pipe is offering a burger-and-beer/cool drink special for R100, keeping things easy and festive while you settle in for a film screening, Q&A session, and book signing with Chris himself. Entry is totally donation-based, so everyone’s welcome.
Guests will get the chance to join Chris’s fun #StayStoked Challenge, sign their ‘Pay It Forward’ pledge, and be part of the announcement of the 2026 Ocean Festival — one of the South Coast’s most uplifting, ocean-loving annual events.
Whether you’re a surfer, skater, or simply an ocean lover, don’t miss this epic launch event featuring wave warriors in one of the hottest dining spots on the KZN South Coast!
