The controversial right-to-die campaigner known as ‘Dr Death’ has added a new gimmick to his headline-grabbing Edinburgh Fringe show – by bringing ‘professional troll’ Katie Hopkins on board.

Australian Dr Philip Nitschke’s Fringe show, ‘Dicing with Dr Death’, intends to ‘teach the funny side of the right-to-die debate’ and has courted controversy at the Fringe.

Notorious newspaper columnist and former reality TV contestant Hopkins will join the show this Tuesday August 25 and will be hooked up to Dr Nitschke’s Destiny Euthanasia machine. The machine is a new version of his Deliverance device, which was used to end the lives of four people in the 1990s.

Hopkins’ appearance will feature on her new TV series and will allegedly involve her oxygen levels slipping to lethal levels.

The hour-long Fringe show takes the form of a lecture and discusses the history of euthanasia and laws on assisted suicide.

'Dicing with Dr Death', until August 29, 6.10pm, The Caves.
