A festival dedicated to all things vegan is coming to Edinburgh this month.

Edinburgh Vegan Festival will take place in the New Town on Saturday August 8 with vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike all welcome.

Well-known names such as soft drinks maker Fentiman’s and Lush Spa are among stall holders who will take part at the event, with others offering food and drink, and ethical products including clothing and cosmetics.

Talks on health, animal rescue and tips to becoming vegan will also take place throughout the day and there will also be plenty of freebies.

Whether you’re a long-standing vegan or just interested in learning more about a meat and dairy-free life, the organisers promise an event suitable for the whole family with plenty to keep everyone occupied.

Edinburgh Vegan Festival, Saturday August 8 10.30am-4.30pm, The Roxburghe Hotel, 38 Charlotte Square. Tickets £2 adults, £1 children – under 5s free.
