He’s been Mr Universe, an action movie superstar and the governor of one of the largest states in the US, and now Arnold Schwarzenegger will be discussing his life and varied career and meeting fans at a special live event in Edinburgh. ‘An Experience with… Arnold Schwarzenegger’ will take place in January and include a live on-stage interview and a three-course black tie dinner.

From attempting to kill Sarah Connor in ‘The Terminator’ to starring as Danny DeVito’s separated-at-birth sibling in ‘Twins’ to uttering some of the cheesiest puns known to man in ‘Batman and Robin’ (‘Let’s kick some ice’), Arnie’s had roles in some of the most memorable films ever made before he turned his hand to politics and held the role of Governor of California from 2003 to 2011. He’s recently been announced as the host of US show ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, replacing Donald Trump (who's apparently doing something else at the moment).

Arnie previously took part in a similar event in Leeds in 2014 hosted by TV presenter Jonathan Ross, and he did say he’d be back!

Tickets for the event, hosted by Olexy Productions, will start from £95 – excluding dinner – or £145 with a three-course meal. Various upgrades are available, including a platinum package for £1,500 where die-hard (and presumably rather rich) fans can take part in a meet and greet and have their photo taken with the star.

An Evening With... Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wednesday January 20, Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Tickets on sale from 10am on Friday October 9.
