Edinburgh brewery Innis and Gunn have confirmed the opening date for their first ever bar and restaurant.

The Beer Kitchen by Innis and Gunn is to open its doors on July 30 and will offer 15 cask and keg beers on tap along with two draught lines for the brewery’s unpasteurised lager. Around 50 bottles and cans from across the globe will also be on offer.

The restaurant, which will seat about 90 diners, will serve up pub classics with a twist – including beer influenced and infused dishes.

Although this will only be the first venture from Innis and Gunn, the brewery have big plans to open a further five UK locations by 2017 with some venues also set to offer hotel accommodation.

Located on Lothian Road with both The Hanging Bat and Blue Blazer close by, it’ll be in good company - and maybe even the ideal starting point for a mini West End pub crawl?

The Beer Kitchen by Innis and Gunn, opening event July 30, open to the public July 31, 81-83 Lothian Road.
