The first cast members have been announced for the upcoming run of the ‘Rocky Horror Show’ in Edinburgh – with one of the members of S Club 7 confirmed for a starring role.

Paul Cattermole, who was most recently seen on a reunion arena tour with his former bandmates, has been cast as Eddie/Dr Scott. The dual role was played by the legendary Meat Loaf in the American stage version of the production, although in the 1970s film he only took on the part of the ex-delivery boy.

Paul has decided to extend the, um, ‘Reach’ of his career and ‘Bring It All Back’ to his theatrical roots (he was formerly a member of the National Youth Musical Theatre) with this production. We’re sure he’s definitely a ‘Natural’ for the role.

Other casting announcements include ‘X Factor’ finalist and ‘The Rise and Fall of Little Voice’ actress Diana Vickers as Janet and Ben Freeman, ‘Emmerdale’ actor and star of West End productions of ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘Wicked’, as Brad. Kristian Lavercombe, who has starred in more than 900 performances of the show for its world 40th anniversary world tour, will again feature as Riff Raff.

Rocky Horror Picture Show, March 28-April 2 2016, Edinburgh Playhouse. Tickets on sale on Monday June 29.
