The Pleasance Sessions will return this year with a three-night line-up taking place in October.

Previously a ten-day event, the organisers had originally planned to take a year off but have instead confirmed a weekender bringing together musicians and promoters from across Scotland.

It all kicks off on Friday October 9 with BBC Radio Scotland DJ Vic Galloway presenting Edinburgh locals Man of Moon, folktronicist Jonnie Common and Glasgow alt rock outfit Paws.

The Pleasance Sessions Market Place will take place during the daytime of Saturday October 10, featuring wares from a variety of record labels, festivals and publications including A Modern Way, Lost Map Records, Song, by Toad and Electric Fields. At night, Outblinker, Bdy_Prts and RM Hubbert, plus a still to be announced special guest, will take the stage.

The final evening on Sunday October 11 will feature Blue Rose Code along with special guests Withered Hand, Yusuf Azak, Jenny Lindsay and Sadie Hasler.

Alongside the music, the event will also have mini beer festival Och!toberfest.

The Pleasance Sessions, October 9-11, Pleasance. Tickets available August 21 from the Edinburgh University Students’ Associations listing website.
