Good news for fans of Edinburgh’s first cat café – it’s moving to a new, permanent base.

Maison de Moggy, which opened as a temporary pop-up in Stockbridge in January, will be making a move to the heart of the city in the coming months.

They’re taking over the former Butterflies bridal shop on West Port and aim to be open for business by May.

The new space will be larger than the pop-up and include two entrances as well as some ‘grand designs’ from the team fitting out the new site.

If you’ve already popped into to the Stockbridge site and made a feline friend, don’t worry about losing touch with them - all of the current resident cats will be coming to the new location. There will also be new additions, including a very rare breed which will be announced shortly.

Purrfect news!

Maison de Moggy is currently based at 26 Hamilton Place, Stockbridge.
