Given that 2015 is officially the year of 'Back to the Future's future, it's unsurprising the 1985 time travel adventure is getting a lot of attention this year (even if it was technically the sequel that actually travelled there). We've already mentioned that it's getting a special screening at the Edinburgh International Film Festival (complete with live orchestral backing); now it's also been announced as the final film in Luna's outdoor cinema series at Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Gardens this September.

The Luna Cinema is a UK-wide programme of open air cinema screenings in special places. If you're super-lucky, that means you can watch 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' at the suitably medieval Warwick Castle, or 'Jaws' at the Brockwell Lido outdoor pool. While not in line for any such immersive experiences, Edinburgh film fans are still in for a handful of cinematic treats, with 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' and 'Mamma Mia' are also on the bill at the Botanics. The full line-up is as follows:

The Grand Budapest Hotel, Friday September 4

Mamma Mia, Saturday September 5

Back to the Future, Sunday September 6

To celebrate, here's two guys talking about the gaps between BTTF's 2015 and the one we're stuck with in reality.

The Luna Cinema, Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, Friday September 4-Sunday September 6. Tickets priced £6.25-£26 available via The Luna Cinema website.
