Not just one, but two festivals dedicated to all things coffee will be coming to Edinburgh in the coming months – insert overused buses cliché here – showcasing some of Scotland’s best roasters and suppliers.

The Scottish Coffee Festival will take place August 29 at the Biscuit Factory in Leith. After hosting an inaugural event in Glasgow last November, the team will this year be appearing in Edinburgh for a caffeine-fuelled day. Tastings, samplings, latte art and barista training from coffee roasters and cafés will be on offer along with music, entertainment and food.

Meanwhile, Edinburgh Coffee Festival will take place on October 3 at Mansfield Traquair. Although the full programme has not yet been released, the organisers promise a line-up of 25 artisan coffee roasters, speciality tea shows, cafés and coffee equipment suppliers who will be offering interactive workshops, tastings and demonstrations.

Coffee aficionados (cofficionados?) rejoice!

Scottish Coffee Festival, Saturday August 29, 11am-6pm, Biscuit Factory, Leith. Tickets £8.

Edinburgh Coffee Festival, Saturday October 3, 10am, 6pm, Mansfield Traquair. Tickets £10.
