The Edinburgh Drive-In Spectacular is a Christmas-themed drive-in cinema that'll be taking over the Royal Highland Centre December 19-23. Among the iconic Christmas movies on offer are ‘Elf’, ‘Home Alone’ and a sing-along version of Disney’s ‘Frozen’, with ‘Love Actually’, ‘The Muppet Christmas Carol’ and the mighty ‘Die Hard’ also scheduled in.

The organisers say the cinema will feature the world’s largest LED screen - it's 100sqm - and visitors simply need to tune their car radio to the event’s station to hear the film. Visitors can bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks, and there'll also be food and drink available on-site. If you really feel like getting into the spirit of the season, fancy dress is encouraged with prizes for the best Christmas outfits.

As a bonus, the Edinburgh Drive In Spectacular promo video is wonderfully cheesy, complete with that American pronunciation of 'Edinburg' we know and love:

Hey, at least it's not 'Edinboro'.

Here's how the schedule looks:

Saturday December 19
2.30pm 'Frozen' (sing-along screening)
6.30pm 'Home Alone'
9.30pm 'Elf'

Sunday December 20
2.30pm 'Miracle on 34th Street'
6.30pm 'The Muppet Christmas Carol'
9.30pm 'Love Actually'

Monday December 21
2.30pm 'The Polar Express'
6.30pm 'Frozen' (sing-along screening)
9.30pm 'Bad Santa'

Tuesday December 22
2.30pm 'Elf'
6.30pm 'Home Alone'
9pm 'Elf'

Wednesday December 23
2.30pm 'The Muppet Christmas Carol'
6.45pm 'Frozen' (sing-along screening)
9.30pm 'Die Hard'

And here's an even better video that doesn't mention 'Edinburg' once:

Edinburgh Drive-In Spectacular, December 19-23, Royal Highland Centre. Tickets £26 per car.
