It blows away the opposition because it’s more than just an Italian restaurant
Victor and Carina Contini are leading lights of the local restaurant scene but their latest venture – launched autumn 2014 – may be the most high-profile yet: an Italian food complex in the 17th century Cannonball House, adjacent to the Castle Esplanade. It’s in the epicentre of Edinburgh tourism and has a basement gelateria and porridge bar, ground floor caffè and upstairs restaurant. Gelato alla cioccolato or a T-bone steak for two? It’s all here.
