One of Scotland's most prized national treasures, artist, author and all round polymath Alasdair Gray burst into the wider cultural conciousness with his 1976 novel 'Lanark' (having begun writing it in 1954). Now, with a new live adaptation of 'Lanark' in the wings over at the Edinburgh International Festival, Gray discusses that book in comparison and contrast with his latest work, a version of Dante's 'The Divine Comedy'.
