The story of Eva Schloss's life would be a compelling one even were it not for her famous sibling. Like Frank, Schloss's family emigrated to the Netherlands during the rise of Nazi Germany, and went into hiding. Like Frank, she and her family were betrayed to the Nazis and sent to Auschwitz. Her father and brother did not survive, but Eva and her mother did; they returned to the Netherlands, where her mother married Otto Frank, father to the famous diarist who wasn't so lucky in Auschwitz.
Since then, Eva has penned her own memoirs, and co-founded the Anne Frank Trust UK. She'll discuss her story, as well as that of Anne, at this special discussion event.
