From 17 April to 25 October 2026, the historic shipyard halls of Telakkaranta will host an extensive retrospective of the world-renowned street artist Banksy

Banksy is more relevant than ever, following reports by the Reuters news agency in mid-March claiming to have finally revealed the identity of the world’s most famous street artist. In the wake of this revelation, a comprehensive retrospective of the artist’s career will open on 17 April 2026 in the old factory halls of Turku’s Telakkaranta.
The exhibition features over 150 of Banksy’s works, including graffiti, photographs, sculptures, and video installations, alongside prints on diverse materials such as canvas, fabric, aluminium, Forex, and plexiglass. Banksy is renowned for his insightful and politically charged pieces.
Arriving in Turku, The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind has already toured several European cities, attracting over two million visitors. The works have been specifically produced and assembled for this exhibition. In the spirit of Banksy’s own motto, ‘Copyright is for losers ©TM,’ the exhibition is not officially authorised by the artist.
Banksy’s work was first seen in Finland in 2021, when a major exhibition of his output was held at the Serlachius Museums in Mänttä. That showcase was also a non-authorised, unofficial exhibition.
The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind will be on display in the old factory hall at Turku’s Telakkaranta from 17 April to 25 October 2026.
