Särkänniemi – the lakeside amusement park in the city of Tampere – is getting a major new attraction in summer 2026: a family-friendly rollercoaster called Konect.
And this is no ordinary ‘kids’ ride’. The track stretches for more than half a kilometre, weaving around the park and climbing high above the grounds. From the top you’ll spot Näsinneula, Finland’s tallest observation tower, and wide-open views of Lake Näsijärvi shimmering on the horizon.
Konect is the first major rollercoaster in Finland that welcomes riders from 100 cm (with an adult) and 120 cm when riding solo. It’s also a completely bespoke build, created specifically for Särkänniemi – meaning you won’t find another one like it anywhere else. The idea is simple: a shared thrill that works for toddlers, teens, parents and even grandparents. A proper all-ages crowd-pleaser.
