A new outdoor art event, Korttelit, will take over Helsinki’s Torikorttelit this winter, transforming the area into a gallery that’s open 24/7. The exhibition runs 28.11.2025–7.1.2026 and presents a curated selection of works by young artists in windows, on balconies and in courtyards between Senate Square and the Market Square.

Expect video art, sculptures, participatory installations and colourful graphic illustrations that play with light. The exhibition is curated by Helsinki-based artist and gallerist Miro-Benjamin Lindström and is produced in collaboration with the City of Helsinki and the operators of Torikorttelit.

‘The aim is to tempt both locals and visitors to experience high-quality art in a new form in wintery Helsinki – and to highlight incredible young talents,’ Lindström says.

Korttelit offers a chance to see the city in a new light and encounter surprising moments along the way. The exhibition continues past Christmas, so you can visit during the holidays or after New Year.

The exhibition is free and open around the clock. Works can be found by following the event’s map, available on site and online.
