Dogs and cats can dine out in one of Helsinki’s most central spots this week, as British pet food brand Lily’s Kitchen opens a pop-up restaurant in Kolmensepänaukio.

The dining etiquette is a little more relaxed than usual. Plates can be licked clean, and the staff won’t mind if you eat your meal off the floor. Humans are welcome as their furry friends’ plus-ones. And before you ask: no, there are no doggy bags for the humans.

There’s no celebrity chef behind this pop-up: the menu consists of Lily’s Kitchen ready-made pet food, served straight from the pouch. Better still, everything is on the house.

The restaurant is open in Kolmensepänaukio on Wednesday September 9 from 13.00-19.00, Thursday and Friday from 11.00-19.00, Saturday from 11.00-18.00 and Sunday from 11.00-15.00.
