A Be Yo Utiful Afternoon

Advertising

Time Out says

Come join us for a beYOUtiful afternoon of yoga, hands on creativity, and fresh air at one of our beautiful Houston parks! From about 1:15 to 2:15, Kara Houston will lead us through an hour of yoga where we will connect to ourselves and feel the support of the Earth beneath us. Yoga will be for all levels. Please bring your own mat. If you need a mat, please post that on the event wall, and if you have an extra mat and are willing to share, look for someone who needs a mat's post and let them know you've got them covered! Following that, we will get creative and have some fun! Beads, elastic, and embroidery thread will be available for making bracelets. After learning about the power of various essential oils from Young Living "Lemondropper" Robin Kimball-Anderson we will make our own essential oil diffuser necklaces with an oil of our choice. We will also have certified Zentangle teacher Lisa Wilson with us to lead us through the Zentangle method! According to their website, Zentangle is an easy to learn, relaxing way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns (www.zentangle.com). Each of us will have the opportunity to take home, plant, and sustain our very own tree courtesy of Trees For Houston. Most importantly, we will be enjoying the beautiful outdoors and each other's company! Tickets are free and you can get them through Eventbrite. (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-beyoutiful-afternoon-tickets-15452328330) Reserving your spot through Eventbrite will help us know the amount of supplies we need and help us plan appropriately! We will have a jar at the event for donations ($5-$10) to cover the supplies we are providing. If you have any questions about the event, message beYOUtiful eARTh founder Emily Vogel or send an email to beyoutifulearth@gmail.com!
