Time Out says

The Cats Corner Community is turning the side floor at Bacchus into a Swing Dancing Hot Spot, and awesomeness is going down! Plan on heading to Bacchus for dinner and dancing, and we'll see you there! "TradJazz" is a relatively recent musical term that is short for Traditional Jazz Music. While the strict definition of the term includes vintage tracks dating back as far as the 1920's, it has come to refer to the modern music coming from the street musicians in the French Quarter of New Orleans. We almost called the night "New Orleans Night", and then decided upon TradJazz instead because the word is shorter and catchy. This style of music can support many forms of dance, including blues, charleston, foxtrot, and lindyhop. If you are new to TradJazz and curious about it, come out and play. If you've never been to this location before, this venue is a beautiful upscale bohemian hangout with a decently-sized dance floor off to the side. This floor is one of the best we've found in town. It's small, encouraging good floor-craft, but it works for both slick and sticky shoes. Dress nicely, and bring your friends who are new to dancing. NOTE: This venue has experienced car break-ins when valuables are visible. Please bring all your valuables in with you or hide them in the trunk, so we aren't vulnerable to crimes of opportunity.
