The event creator says
Gray Contemporary is pleased to present Bed a solo exhibition of works by Amber Cobb. The exhibition opens Thursday, April 23 from 6:00 - 8:30pm with Amber Cobb in attendance. It will remain on view through May 19th.

Amber Cobb’s Bed is comprised of new works exploring the emotional vulnerability of sensuality. While most of these works have a sculptural presence, Cobb approaches these panels with the sensibility of a minimalist painter. By each layer of silicone, Cobb systematically creates a thick skin upon the afghan blankets in which are stretched around panel. By layering each blanket with transparent silicone, Cobb allows for the characteristics of each blanket to differentiate itself while also creating a psychological barrier or protectant that bonds together the dichotomy of sensuality.
