Please join us for drinks and conversation at Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar on Thursday, March 17th when a portion of the proceeds from all drink sales during the 5-7pm happy hour will go to support CounterCurrent, a festival of bold experimental art organized by the University of Houston Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts. So enjoy a drink or two, meet the CounterCurrent and Mitchell Center team, and take-in Boheme's bohemian atmosphere! The proceeds from the evening will support the organization so don't be shy, raise a glass (or three) while raising funds for the CounterCurrent festival!

About CounterCurrent:
CounterCurrent is a festival of bold experimental art occupying a range of unexpected sites in the city of Houston. Presented by the University of Houston Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts, CounterCurrent includes audio and visual installations, live performances, talks and participatory events by artists from around the world, as well as new works by University of Houston faculty and students.

CounterCurrent 2016 (April 12-17) will be headquartered at the MATCH (Midtown Arts & Theatre Center Houston) and will animate sites including city parks, street corners, cemeteries, theatres, museums and the University of Houston campus, offering new ways to experience art in the city around us.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts is dedicated to interdisciplinary collaboration across the performing, visual, and literary arts. Based at the University of Houston, the Mitchell Center commissions and produces new works, presents public performances and exhibitions, offers curriculum and scholarships, and hosts residencies with renowned visiting artists from throughout the world. About Fresh Arts’ Cultured Cocktails:
Fresh Arts' Cultured Cocktails at Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar (located at 307 Fairview St. near the corner of Taft St.) has become a popular weekly event that has grown tremendously over the past few years. Participating organizations receive 10% of all drink sales during the 5:00PM -7:00PM happy hour. Cultured Cocktails is a community building fundraiser in celebration of the arts, and since its inception in 2008 it has raised more than $85,000 for Houston Area artists and arts organizations.
