Enjoy the great emotional, psychological and social benefits of yoga and mindfulness on the mat with your kids! During this special family workshop we will explore many ways to have healthy fun and create self-awareness, body-awareness, and self-regulation while fostering the healthy development of social and emotional learning skills for the entire family in a safe and loving environment. A different theme is highlighted in each family yoga class using poses, music, art, games, and stories.
All family yoga classes are thoughtfully designed to teach yoga on and off the mat and participants will gain new tools and inspiration to take contemplative and mindful practices to incorporate into their daily life and enhance their experience as individuals and families.

In this family yoga workshop participants will be working with self-regulation tools within the theme of Transforming the Moody Blues Into Colorful Hues. In addition to learning and playing with a variety of yoga postures and mindful breathing techniques, we will be working with the book, Moody Cow Meditates and making our own Mindfulness Jars to take home.

The Dalai Lama has said “If every 8 year old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.” That is an amazing hope that through yoga and meditation we can change the world to a better place one breath, one child, and one family at a time.
