NOTICE: There was a bit of a mix up with this posting, but fear not - the film is still scheduled to screen at She Works Flexible this January on the 27th. This isn't a Suplex event, but we definetly think you should go. This film is a gem!

Join us for a screening of René Laloux's animated sci-fi masterpiece "Fantastic Planet" on the back patio of She Works Flexible. Admission is free and open to the public.

About the film:
"A French/Czech co-production, the dream-like "La Planete Sauvage" concerns the degradation of the Oms, human-like creatures on the futuristic planet Yagam. The Oms are kept as pets and beasts of burden by the Draggs, 39-foot beings who comprise Yagam's ruling class. The status quo is upset when Terr, one of the Oms, accidentally receives an education, whereupon he organizes the other Oms to demand equality with the Draggs. Based on Stefen Wul's novel, "Fantastic Planet" was the winner of a 1973 Cannes Film Festival grand prize." - Hal Erickson, Rovi via The New York Times.
