Rice University's Office of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies says
GCURS is a forum for undergraduate researchers to present original research discoveries. Hosted by Rice University in Houston, GCURS presentations use 15-min PowerPoint format rather than the more common poster session. The event fosters intercollegiate interactions among students and faculty who share a passion for undergraduate research. We expect several hundred speakers from about half of the states. GCURS offers a friendly and supportive environment to students to give formal research presentations, and faculty will provide written constructive feedback.

Sessions will be held in the following fields:
-Biosciences
-Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
-Chemistry and Nano/Materials
-Civil and Environmental Engineering
-Earth Science
-Electrical and Computer Engineering
-Mechanical Engineering
-Physics and Astronomy
-Systems, Synthetic, and Physical Biology
