The event creator says
Get to know S.G. Garcia, Art Gallery Artist for the month of August at TBH, presenting Inspired by Frida Kahlo, The Art of S.G. Garcia. Closing Reception, September 8, 2015.

In 2003, Garcia found inspiration from library books, inspired by the works of M. C. Escher, H. R. Giger, Luis Jimenez, Diego Rivera, and Frida Kahlo. Garcia discovered the existence of Frida Kahlo in the public library and blossomed with creativity as a self-taught artist. Frida Kahlo taught Stephanie Guajardo she had value and could be an artist. In August of 2013, recovering from depression, Stephanie decided to change her artist name to S.G. Garcia.
S.G. Garcia is proud to call Frida Kahlo her Spiritual Mother.
S.G. Garcia’s art has been seen in art shows since 2004, in Houston, Dallas, Minneapolis, and San Francisco. Garcia has sold originals and prints from her Etsy shop in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia.
