This is a free open mic event that will be taking place outdoors of Houston Museum of African American Culture aka HMAAC facility during Museum Experience Zone 2 (MEZ2) activities.

11am - 2pm:

Poets, performers, and soul singers are welcomed to elucidate upon the “struggle” during this open mic. If you have something to say about your own social struggle, your own identity as a race, gender, sex, sexuality, your own frustration of injustices in society... then you most certainly have a forum to preach.
