The Religion and Public Life Program says
Join the Religion and Public Life Program for a panel discussion featuring Marcus D. Cosby, senior pastor of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church; Korie Edwards, associate professor of sociology at Ohio State University; and Omar McRoberts, associate professor of sociology at University of Chicago. Gearing up for the 2016 election, we will address how race and religion play a part at the polls, with a particular focus on African Americans. This public conversation will allow people to reflect on the recent instances of police violence, how religious communities and leaders are responding, and how the political landscape will be affected. A reception will follow the event.

This event will be held in Herring Hall, Room 100 on Rice University's campus.
