The 20th edition of the five-day music festival returns to Mehrangarh Fort with artists from six continents

If your idea of a music festival involves anything more atmospheric than an ocean of phone screens and muddy concert grounds, then Jodhpur RIFF 2026 is something you shouldn't miss. The 20th edition of India’s premier international roots festival will take place from October 22, 2026, to October 26, 2026, coinciding with Sharad Purnima – the brightest full moon of the year in North India. Expect performances by musicians from six continents gathering for an eclectic musical celebration at Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur.
Held under the aegis of the Mehrangarh Museum Trust, Jodhpur RIFF has built an identity, creating conversations between traditional Rajasthani musicians and international and homegrown artists. The music festival’s 2026 edition brings over 250 folk musicians from communities like Manganiyar, Bhopa, Kalbelia, Meghwal, Meena, Langa, and Bhil.
The 2026 edition of Jodhpur RIFF will bring artists from a dozen countries, including Chile, Poland, Cabo Verde, Scotland, Colombia and more, with several musicians making their India debut.
Among them is Latin-American folk duo Camila y Silvio, bringing Andean traditions like cumbia, zamba and chacarera, while Filipino-Murrawari drummer, rapper and composer DOBB will bring music with a fusion of Indigenous Australian influences.
This exciting lineup also adds Printz Board’s Butter Funk Family, Cabo Verdean guitarist Guitare Voginha, American roots duo Martha Redbone and Aaron Whitby, and The Book of Queens – a collaboration that features Hindustani vocalist Smita Bellur, Persian-speaking French opera singer Camille Bordet, and Rajasthani kamaicha maestro Kode Khan Manganiyar.
Taking over multiple spaces around Mehrangarh, Jodhpur RIFF 2026 has to offer more beyond just musical performances: dawn concerts at Jaswant Thada, evening performances at the Zenana Courtyard, workshops, late-night sessions and more.
The programme also brings Indian classical and folk traditions into the blend, with artists Padma Shri vocalist Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande, Jasleen Kaur Monga, Mangka Mayanglambam, Merlin D’Souza, and Ambi Subramaniam bringing their musical expertise to the city.
