Despite changing hands (it used to be a Hyatt, then a Loews), this Lake Las Vegas property still has a Moroccan theme and most of the same amenities. But upgraded rooms and resurfaced pools have given the hotel a facelift, as has the removal of the small casino, now a venue primarily for weddings and meetings. As for food, Marssa serves Pacific Rim cuisine and sushi, and Rick’s Café offers American cuisine with a Mediterranean flair. The Arabesque Lounge has beautiful views of the lake and mountains; for outdoor dining, try the SandsaBar Grill. Along with hiking, biking and bird watching, the major sports are on a 320-acre private man-made lake (sailing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing), and three golf courses. There’s also a white-sand beach and sports area, as well as nearby golf. Check out the resort’s Fit-cation Package if you want to go home looking better than when you arrived.
