Come enjoy the Opera 101: An Introduction to Opera course at the Louisville Free Public Library. The course covers the origins of opera starting in the late Renaissance and continuing through developments and innovations through to the 21st Century. In addition, the course will cover a “Who’s Who” in opera and current trends in the industry. The course will feature insights into Kentucky’s own Opera Company, including programming, interviews and live performances with Kentucky Opera artists. The course will be taught by Manager of Education Programming and Community Engagement, Aubrey Baker. The course is free and open to the public, but please make sure to reserve your spot!
