The Future is Now is on view November 13, 2015 – January 8, 2016. There will be an opening reception for the artists held during the Republic Bank First Friday Gallery Hop on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6pm – 9pm. Artists exhibiting in The Future is Now are high school students Molly Conard from Brown School, Madeleine Herbert from Fern Creek High School, Malika Johnson from Male High School, Isabella Ray from Pleasure Ridge Park High School, Ariana Sheldahl from Jeffersontown High School, and Hannah Thompson from Eastern High School. Also exhibiting work are artist-mentors: David Bibelhauser, Ashley Brossart, Andrew Cozzins, Douglas Miller, Lisa Simon, and Ashley Stinson.

The Future is Now is mentorship program managed in partnership with Louisville Visual Art & The Green Building Gallery. Area high school students were matched with local artists who guided them over a period of six months. The work they created during this time is currently on display. The artist mentors involved came from various backgrounds— independent artists, educators, freelance photographers, three-dimensional fabricators, painters, drawers, and sculptors.
