The Riflemen says
The Riflemen are concerned about three things and three things only: Having a great time with our friends, drowning in the TWANG of dual telecasters/ fiddle/ vocal harmonies/ tight drum beats and, well, we forgot what the other thing was. Maybe it was Kentucky Bourbon, or the embrace of a beautiful woman. Maybe it smokey old bar rooms and clear mountain mornings. Or little warm puppies. But one thing is for certain. The Riflemen are starting a NEW weekly house gig every Thursday night on the aesthetically gifted patio of Barret Bar on (ahem) Barret Avenue in the Highlands. Things that are good to do on the patio at Barret: share cheap drinks with friends in a laid back atmosphere on a warm spring night, tell funny jokes, enjoy a fun band (hopefully us this Thursday), listen to BOTH kinds of music (country AND western), maybe get up and dance a good old two-step. Things that are not good to do on the patio at Barret: not being there, being there but begrudgingly, begrudging that you're not there, telling jokes that aren't funny (unless they're funny because theyre not funny), heckle the band (just kidding you can heckle us but we'll probably heckle you back even worse until you realize that its just not worth it), etc. We'll be doing this gig every Thursday and we hope that you can make it out. And keep in mind that I believe some famous person a long time ago said that a weekly dose of honky tonk music is required for good clean living. Happy Trails, we'll see you on Thursday!!
