The event creator says
Woodrow (Wood, Buddy, Mr. President, etc.) passed away on Easter Sunday night at the age of 73. On the day we Christians celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord, Woodrow had the honor and pleasure of meeting Him in person and settling in to his Heavenly home. Because He Lives, Woodrow has eternal life with Him, and we have the opportunity to share that life when we leave our earthly home.

Woodrow loved his life. He and Lois spent most of their days together in retirement. They traveled, golfed, did yard work and gardening, visited friends, and hosted card parties. They swam in their pool and soaked in their hot tub. One of Woodrow's greatest joys was holding his great-grandchildren. He could not get enough of those precious children! And he always had a hug and a hearty, "Love you!" for everyone.

Woodrow was such a generous man. He and Lois volunteered in a variety of ways over the years. Many years ago, they decided to donate their bodies to the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Even in his death, Woodrow continues to help people!

We always knew that he was a great dad and husband. We also knew that he was like a dad to so many of our friends and others. But it wasn’t until the final days in the hospital that we truly realized how many people he touched. At times the hospital room was so packed that people were in the hallway waiting to get in to say goodbye to a special man.

Come celebrate the life of Woodrow Wilson Turner, Jr. with us on May 9th at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta parish in Fairdale, Kentucky.
