Time Out says

An impressive showcase of contemporary Chinese art via exhibitions, festivals and talks

Formally known as the Chinese Arts Centre, the Centre For Chinese Contemporary Art works to bring Chinese art and visual culture to a UK audience. Working with a four-strong team of associate curators based in East Asia - each specialising in a particular strand of the centre's artistic programme - this Northern Quarter building brings exhibitions, artists in residence, engagement projects, festivals, talks and events.

The centre has been operating for nearly thirty years so it's good to see the place go from strength to strength. Perfect timing for the 'Chinese Century', too.

Centre For Chinese Contemporary Art says
Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) is the national centre for Chinese
Contemporary Art in the UK. Based in the heart of the creative Northern Quarter in Manchester, the centre has a proud 32 year history of supporting emerging international artists and making Chinese contemporary art accessible to a UK audience through its unique public programme.

The site also holds a boutique shop, an archive collection and a purpose-built function room that is available to hire. For more information please visit our website or pop in and see us (we open from 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Mondays)
