Qasim Riza Shaheen is a fascinating artist, exploring relationships with the self and with those who interact with the self, be they family, friends, spectators or strangers.
Here, across two galleries and other spaces within the area, he mixes performance with photography, drawings and audio inspired by - and created in - Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. In his exploration of relationships (the simulated moments of intimacy with strangers are particularly insightful), and work created by his own father, the universality of the fragile human condition is revealed.
